物化性質(zhì):氧化鎂為白色無定形粉末。無臭、無味、無毒。相對密度約3.58(25℃)。熔點2852℃,沸點3600℃.難溶于水,不溶于醇,溶于酸或銨鹽溶液中。經(jīng)1000℃以上高溫灼燒,可轉(zhuǎn)化為晶體。溫度升高至1500℃以上時,則成死燒氧化鎂或燒結(jié)氧化鎂。遇空氣中二氧化碳生成堿式碳酸鎂。
用途:工業(yè)氧化鎂可用于制造陶瓷、搪瓷、耐火坩堝和耐火磚做為磨光劑、粘合劑。也可做油漆及紙張的填料,氯丁橡膠中做促進劑與活化劑。與氯化鎂等溶液混合可制氧化鎂水泥。醫(yī)藥上用作抗酸劑與輕瀉劑,用于胃酸過多,胃和十二指腸潰瘍病。也應用于玻璃、染料、酚醛塑料等。食品級氧化鎂用作砂磄精制時的脫色劑、冰淇淋粉的pH調(diào)節(jié)等。
